Killeen paid the up-front $10,500 cost for the dinner, and the cities of Copperas Cove, Belton, Harker Heights and Temple reimbursed Killeen $2,500, according to the invoices. Some concerned citizens of Belton wanted to know, who attended this meeting and did Belton give $2,500 as KDH article stated. Open information not only confirmed that $2,500 of taxpayers dollars did pay the alleged booze bill, but Belton taxpayers may have also been used to pay Belton's mayor's wife's bills too.
